Leeds Festival 2014

Having been brought up with music as a massive part of my life, and after wanting to go since I was 14, last week I finally went to Leeds festival!
To say it was the greatest weekend of my life would be putting it lightly. I've never been in a place which such an incredible atmosphere and had an amazing time.
After watching festival season from the comfort of my own house for all these years, I assumed the camping wouldn't be terrible, even though the closest I'd ever come to a tent was during a weird camping module they made us take in PE at school (which I paid zero attention to). So after me and my 3 friends bought a £70 four man tent, a ridiculous amount of cider and some sausage rolls, last week we finally set off for Leeds.

The idea of seeing Alex Turner performing so near to his home town was amazing, and the line up was fab to start off with. I couldn't wait to be seeing Jake Bugg, Foster The People, Disclosure and The Courteeners (I'm their biggest fan and have been since I was 15), but more importantly, I couldn't wait for...FESTIVAL FASHION! How can anyone say that Kate Moss in those denim shorts at Glastonbury all those years ago doesn't fill them with a certain passion for festival fashion? However I was determined NOT to be the typical denim shorts, flowery headband sort of girl. I wanted to be able to look back on my Leeds photographs and not cringe at having flowers in my hair. So, much to one of my friends despair, I planned my outfits with meticulous precision (as I always do).

Day One:
Crop top and shorts, both River Island.

Day Two:
Playsuit:Missguided, bumbag: eBay

Day Three:
Midi dress: Topshop

Day Four:
Top and skirt: Topshop, Chelsea Boot Wellies: Primark

Thankfully when we arrived at Leeds, one of the girls I went with had some lad mates there to help us carry our ridiculous load (and put our tent up for us).
The amount of cider drunk and the amount of trips to the toilet in a field this weekend was unnormal but so much fun.
Being a bit of a beauty and make up hoarder, I had plenty of things to take with me, however in hindsight, the only necessities beauty wise are, toothpaste, femfresh wipes, baby wipes, a mirror and deodorant! Although this is just some of what I took:
If you aren't a flowery hand band girl like me then embrace your inner Kylie Jenner and rock a bindi! I loved wearing mine!!
Having incredibly long and untamed hair also made me panic a bit, so I asked a girl I work with to French plait it for me. This was possibly the best decision of my life! My hair looked so cute and on trend, didn't change in the rain and I didn't have to style it for 5 days!!

I'll leave you with photos to laugh at!!
