My Favourite MAC Lipsticks

As a student, and a previous Boots employee, I own a ridiculous amount of lipsticks, mainly Revelon Colour Balms and Rimmel lipsticks, but recently I've become obsessed with MAC!
About 3 years ago I bought my first MAC lipstick from Manchester airport duty free, I can't remember the name but I know it was nude and I wore it so much it eventually dissapeared.
So for my 20th birthday in May I got treated to two MAC lipsticks, Morange and Coral Bliss.
Morange.

Coral Bliss.

I chose these colours as I adore orange lipsticks. They suit my skin tone and are an amazing alternative to red. Morange is the perfect night out colour, and stays on literally all night long.
Coral Bliss is the daytime version of Morange. It's more subdued and a lot more wearable in the day. It's such a complimentary colour, almost a prettier version of a boring nude.

When I went to Egypt I thought I'd pick up another couple of colours, because I cannot resist a duty free bargain!
The colours I picked up are all colours I've wanted to buy for ages, but bought cheaper dupes!
The first was Ruby Woo.
I'm usually nervous about red lipsticks. I never feel comfortable in the colour as I don't think I suit it and it makes me look slightly overdone. However I heard so many good reviews about Ruby Woo so I jut had to try it.
It's completely changed my mind about red lipsticks. I feel amazing in it and it suits my skin tone amazingly. It's retro matte which makes me feel really comfortable and I know I don't look too much in it!

The second colour I picked up was Velvet Teddy.
I'm a massive fan of nude lipsticks, but for me this one is more sophisticated than your average nude. It's a beautiful light brown colour which is perfect all year round. I honestly picked this up because I'd seen it's the colour Kylie Jenner wears, and her make up is always flawless.
Obviously this lipstick doesn't make me look like Kylie Jenner, but I love wearing it never the less!

The third colour I picked up was Rebel.

I've borrowed this colour off friends before and knew I suited it. It's perfect for Autumn and I love it day or night! I'm a massive fan of purple lipsticks anyway (lilac lipstick is my ultimate fave in Summer) and I think this one is the perfect colour!

I'm dying to try more MAC products and of course some more lipstick colours so any recommendations would be fab!

London Fashion Week

London fashion week is my fave time of the year!
Obviously as a nobody I'll probably never get to step foot inside Somerset House (which happens to be a lifelong dream!!) to join in the fun, however I can still admire from afar!!
This post is basically as all favourite looks from my favourite designers!!
I've actually cheated a bit, as the first five are actually from New York fashion week!
Victoria Beckham SS15
Marc by Marc Jacobs SS15
Alexander Wang SS15
DVF SS15
Marc Jacobs SS15
DAKS SS15
Amanda Wakely SS15
Erdem SS15
Marchesa SS15
Matthew Williamson SS15
House Of Holland SS15
Richard Nicoll SS15
Holly Fulton SS15
Fielder Felder SS15
Burberry SS15

As a Marc Jacobs fanatic I wasn't let down by his amazing catwalk to close NYFW. I stayed up and watched the live stream in awe! The pink house, the headphones, the weirdly amazing soundtrack, the models, the lack of make up on top of the fabulous collection made it unmissable!
I read that Mr Nars himself came to put moisturiser on the models. No make up, just moisturiser!

I'm also a big Matthew Williamson fan, ever since I was younger and my mum took me to see an exhibition of his at Urbis in Manchester. I've loved his patterns and his eye for detailing ever since, and again I wasn't disappointed by next seasons collection. So sophisticated with the most rich and beautiful colours!

In all honesty though, my favourite collection has to be Erdem. I loved every piece and struggled choosing only three. The shapes, colours and prints are so different that I'm incredibly intrigued by the collection and want to own it now.

I'll be plotting my way into the next LFW from the moment I finish this post!!

Bioderma Skincare

I've always been a lover of believing a hype, so when the Bioderma hype came around i knew I had to try it.
Unfortunely I am a student (well intern) and couldn't afford the real deal!
However as I was working in boots at the time, I could easily get my hands on the dupes and try them out!!
I've got normal but sensitive skin, which I always look after after suffering from mild acne in my teens!

The first Micellar cleansing water I tried out was the L'Oreal skin perfection 3 in 1 solution.
At first I really enjoyed using this product. It made a change from wipes which we're drying out my skin. However as I got about a quarter of the way through the bottle I started feeling like this was making my skin feel a bit greasy. I continued until I'd finished the bottle and even though I wouldn't repurchase it, I think this product was just above average!

Secondly I used the Garnier Micellar cleansing water! I loved the aesthetics of this bottle (which I know isn't important to everybody!), so that was a good start for me. I really liked this product all the way through, and preferred it to the L'Oreal! After having tried Bioderma, I'd say this was a good dupe, close to the real thing! It took my make up off, cleansed and didn't make my skin greasy, or dry it out!

However my lovely mum went to Paris and was kind enough to treat me to my very own (and very large) Bioderma Micellar Solution and Bioderma light moisturiser. I was obviously incredibly excited to try these products out, and now I have I don't know how I cope without them.
The cleansing water is eh perfect balance of cleanser and make up remover, it leaves your skin feeling fresh and hydrated!
The moisturiser is perfect for my skin type. It hydrates without drying or making my skin feel greasy, and again it makes me feel fresh faced!
Finally, on my holiday to Egypt, I went into a pharmacy and found a huge range of Bioderma skin care! Unfortunelty I couldn't afford anything so I picked up the sensitive skin cleansing milk! (And treated my mum to one of course!) I've not used is product long enough to give it a fair review yet, but I already know how great it's going to be!

For anyone who's not tried Bioderma or is unsure whether to you really should! It's 100% worth the slightly more luxury price tag, and the hype was right!!

Egypt 2014

I pestered and pestered and pestered for a holiday somewhere sunny this year, and last week jetted off to Egypt with my 15kg suitcase and boyfriend in tow.
We visited Hurghada, and stayed at the Mamlouk Palace which was stunning!

I wore Henry Holland tie dye glue on nails, just from boots, however the chlorine from the pool corroded the glue and they were floating around not long after check in!

My holiday read this year was #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso. I'd heard raving reviews about this book, and seeing as though I want to be a fashion businesswoman myself, thought I'd gather some tips from it. Honestly it gave me a lot more than that, I physically couldn't put it down. It's given me determination and makes me want to strive for my dreams even more! It's a definite must read.

Anyway, my wardrobe for Egypt ended up consisting of mainly kimonos, a bikini or two and some different mini skirts and tops I could throw on. I find packing for holidays incredibly stressful, especially with only having 15kg of luggage, and I knew I wanted this holiday to be more of a relax than anything, so took mainly clothes that required minimal effort (and looked good with sunburn).

It was 40 degrees all week and even boiling hot in the shade!
I had the most amazing and relaxing time and am already excited to start looking for next year!!
I got treated to some fabulous duty free at the airport, including Daisy Dream (I'm obsessed with Marc Jacobs!) and three MAC lipsticks, Ruby Woo, Rebel and Velvet Teddy!

Anyway I've not got much more to share!
